What is FAST?

FAST stands for Free Ad-Supported Television. Hundreds of millions of people worldwide stream free TV channels on their connected TVs and set-top boxes through services like Pluto TV, Samsung TV+, Roku Channels, Vizio, LG, Tubi, and others.FAST services offer a viewing experience similar to traditional TV, with hundreds of channels available for users to tune into and switch between seamlessly. It provides the easiest way to watch TV when you just want to start watching without the hassle of navigating multiple apps, watching trailers, or struggling to decide what to watch.FAST is the fastest-growing service on connected TVs, including Samsung, LG, Google, Roku, and more.

getFAST is launching multiple themed channels (e.g., DIY, Fashion, Beauty, Cars, Tech, Adventure, and more). Similar to traditional TV channels, these will feature scheduled programming throughout the day, and your videos can become part of the lineup.

Uploading Videos

How do I upload my videos?

We’ll provide you with a link to a simple upload page where you can drag and drop your video and add additional information, such as the title, description, keywords, and cover art.

Do I need to provide cover art for each video?

It’s highly recommended, as it helps viewers decide whether to watch your video. If you don’t have one, we’ll automatically generate a cover from your video.

What video/audio formats do you support?

Do I need to include closed captioning for my videos?

That would be great (we support the following formats), but if you don’t have captions, we’ll generate them for you since they’re required for all videos on FAST.

What resolution should my videos be?

We prefer 4K videos but also accept 1080p. Your content will be displayed on big-screen TVs, so we want it to look great in people’s living rooms.

Uploading Videos

How long should my videos be?

Our sweet spot is 10–50 minutes, but we can make exceptions in special cases.

Are there any content restrictions?

Videos must be suitable for a mainstream audience. No nudity, extreme violence, or anything beyond a PG-13 rating.

Will you edit my videos?

Generally, no. However, we may remove sections that ask viewers to "subscribe" or "leave a comment," as most FAST platforms don’t support that.

Are you interested in vertical or short-form videos?

Not at this moment.

Am I expected to upload videos regularly?

We’d love for you to keep uploading relevant content. While we can’t guarantee all your videos will be programmed into channels, the more you upload, the better your chances.

How do you decide which videos go on which channels and how often?

Our programming team considers factors like target audience, time of day, day of the week, current programming themes, and how your video fits with surrounding content. We aim to create the best viewing experience possible.

How do I earn money on getFAST?

It’s straightforward—getFAST channels include commercial breaks on all FAST platforms. The more hours your videos are watched, the more you get paid.

What is the revenue share arrangement?

getFAST shares 50% of its net revenue with creators. FAST platforms sell ads on the channels we provide, and we share that revenue with you.

How do I get paid?

As part of onboarding, you’ll select your preferred payment method.

How do people discover my videos?

Your videos will be featured on relevant channels (e.g., a woodworking video might be on a DIY channel). Discovery is channel-focused rather than video-focused. Most FAST platforms include TV guides, search functions, and recommendations to help viewers find channels they’ll enjoy.

Do I still own the rights to my videos?

Yes. You grant getFAST a non-exclusive, global license to distribute your content on FAST TV, but we don’t retain any rights to your videos.

Can I remove a video after uploading it?

We prefer that you don’t during the agreement term. However, if you’ve signed exclusive rights elsewhere and need to remove a video, we’ll accommodate the request, but it may take some time if it’s already scheduled.

Can I have a dedicated channel just for my videos?

Given the limited number of channels on FAST, you’d need millions of followers, hundreds of hours of TV-friendly content, and a strong brand. If you meet these criteria, let’s talk!

Why is getFAST invite-only?

There are a limited number of channels and video slots (each channel runs 24 hours of content), so we currently work with select creators. As we expand, we’ll open it up to more.
